This fridge came with a ParkModel home we recently purchased. It seemed to be freezing properly but 2 weeks ago we noticed that some ice cream we had purchased was NOT frozen - it was soft & gooey. 2 different containers, both soft. We had the freezer on the middle, recommended setting, so we turned it up to high. This week the ice cream now seems to be more frozen than before, but still NOT solid frozen as ice cream should be. Meat in the freezer 'seems' to be frozen but it does cause us concern. Is the freezer about to go out ? Does it need service ?

i just love the frig. it is so big ive lived with a small frig for years and it wasnt self defrost water was dripping everywhere but coulnt aford one. didnt think i could get a bigger one to fit in the spot. had to defrost 3 times a year

I purchased this refrigerator three months ago and it has never been right. It freezes the food in the refrigerator and thaws the food in the freezer. I have been on the phone for hours with whirlpool trying to get this corrected under warranty and the service company they use by the name of platinum will not honor the time frames that whirlpool assigned to me. I have asked for time off work for those time frames and it really causes a lot of issues when platinum service will not honor them. I give this one star due to the amount of food I've thrown out the time Ive on the phone and the lack of customer service between whirlpool and Platinum. Note all high star ratings on this the reviewer received free product tot review it

This specific appliance have no interior light in the freezer. I was told by the delivery personnel this specific model do not come with a bottom grill plate. When communicating with Lowe's delivery personnel they could not verify if this model came with a grill plate. I inform the instructions booklet reflects it did come with one. Lowe's deliver a second Whirlpool refrigerator and it had no grill plate. The second private contractor delivery crew inform this model do not come with a grill plate. The universal ice maker which is an extra purchase item, is too small to hold the ice cubes. Ice cubes falls in to the freezer compartment and without an interior light in the freezer makes this difficult to locate the ice cubes.

Plenty of room in this refrigerator keeps food cold the way it supposed to. Also has door space for tall bottles. The only problem I have is the tabs that fill the holes to reverse the doors. One of them broke off insides the hole so for the moment I cannot reverse the exterior doors which is something I have to do. I may have to drill the plastic piece out. Otherwise frat refrigerator I still recommend this product.
