I have had great success with GE ovens and stove tops. Previous appliances lasted over thirty years. Induction is faster, safer, and easier to clean because it doesn't get as hot or stay hot. I like having a timer built right in. My only complaints are that the controls are hard to read in the dark for me, and I sometimes try to turn on the wrong burner. That doesn't matter so much with induction: with no pan detected, the burner won't turn on and beeps to let me know I did something wrong. Another great feature is the ability to synch two burners. That works great with a pancake griddle.

The cooktop itself is great. However, my unit had developed some issues with the burners. GE Customer Relations came through and helped rectify the issue to my satisfaction. I appreciate the team's commitment to the product and customer.

Our cooktop was purchased in 2019 and is less than 3 years old. Already, the large burner stopped working and only one of the two left burners works. Called and paid $125 for GE service to come and check the cooktop and the technician said it would cost upwards of $1000 to fix the cooktop.

This cooktop is a total disappointment. It was delivered and installed over a month ago and still does not work. GE techs have tried to fix it and they won't replace it until they tinker with it more. Won't even turn on so I have to use a one burner cooktop to try and cook for my family. What a disappointment and waste of $2,000.

Overall a good cooktop, but difficult to use because of the gray on black circles. It's nearly impossible to see whether a pan or pot is properly centered on a hotspot.

Induction heating is great, and this unit looks sleek and modern. Problem is any time you press a key the unit produces a series of notes, high to low, or low to high. Quite loudly, as well. We called tech support and there is no way to turn this down and off. It is a "safety feature." Ugh. For our open plan kitchen it sure interferes with conversation and tv watching.

I love how it cooks. How fast food heats up and how easy it has been to clean. I keep a silicone mat on top of it when not in use so I can set stuff down on it without worry if scarfing it.

This was a great cook top and I was very satisficed with it.
With out warning all the burners shut off after a few seconds but thank god the timer still works. Model PHP9030SJ2SS.

Control lettering difficult to read. Could be a bit larger and color more visible.
Would like to have an optional temperature control in degrees in addition to the numeric.

This cooktop heats cookware quickly, is quiet and not fussy like our single induction burner. I love all of the features and it's sleek look. I will never buy a ceramic cooktop again. Controls are a bit quirky: You can turn the element on and tap the + to get the highest setting to boil water quickly, but you can't turn it down from there. A little odd, but workable.

I have added this stove top to my home for over a year. It cooks the food evenly and quick. I was a little nervous about initially purchasing because you see reviews that are not positive but i went ahead and I'm very satisfied with that decision. The only thing that i had to do was buy new pots and pans that work with induction stovetops

I've cooked with gas for over 40 years. Moved to a condo with no gas service, so I installed GE induction. I was amazed at the degree of control over temperature and the SPEED of heating. I'll never go back to gas.

We purchased the PHP9030DJBB in 2018 for our cottage. less than two years later, while wiping the side, the glass started to crumble, then a week later, a crack developed through the cooktop. We are told by the Appliance store that it is no longer covered under warranty, and that we need to replace to glass top for almost what it cost us to buy a new unit.
Very disappointing that such an expensive induction cooktop, that is used very infrequently (it's our summer cottage), barely lasts the equivalent of less than a year of use.

I love the look, so clean and sleek, and it is so easy to clean compared to my gas cooktop. It heats fast if I choose a high setting. It does hum, as others have indicated, but that is fine with me. And I don't have to worry about leaving the gas on by mistake, as this shuts off if a pan is removed. I've only had it a few months, so if I have problems with longevity I will be back writing another review.

There is a lot to like about this cooktop. It is very fast to heat up whatever you are cooking, and the surface is easy to clean. What I do not like: I got the cooktop with the stainless borders, and at least one of the exposed corners is poorly fitted and very sharp. I wish I had gotten the plain surface with no stainless borders for this reason. The cooktop was installed raised on a gasket above the counter top around 1/8 - 1/4", supposedly to protect from impact forces. I was not expecting this void, which looks like it will collect accumulations of spilled, dried food. I asked about caulking, and was told this can be done, but it sounds tricky. Inherent to all ceramic cooktops (I imagine - this is my first one), pans slide around quite a bit and you have to watch to stay on the circle.
Despite the negatives that I have mentioned, I am a convert to induction for one big reason: safety. It is pretty much impossible to catch something on fire, burns from the surface are not a significant risk.

I was excited to try an induction stove and for 6 months have really liked cooking on this cooktop. However, the 2 right burners stopped working and of course, now out of warranty. Only a one year warranty ! 6 months we were not using it so really only lasted a little over a year. We have all he appliances and have been happy before this product. It seems like this is a continuing problem with this unit and ge hasn't addressed it. Very disappointing

Was able to get out the repairman. He was able to order the part, it will hopefully be in in just over 2 weeks, Until then I have a dead cooktop.
GE customer service said there is nothing they can do, just back luck. Looks like it will be take out for first Thanksgiving at the new house.

I've always been a gas cooktop cook, but that was not an option for our new residence. I am really enjoying the GE profile induction cooktop. It heats up water to boiling in just a few minutes and I find it easy to regulate the temperature.

My whole family loves this cooktop. I love gas stoves but our house would require a propane tank in the side yard for that to happen. I don't think that's very safe. The induction cooktop is literally the next best thing to gas without the hassle. Water boils sooooo fast! The burners do make a humming sound when turned on which was weird at first but we've gotten use to it. You need magnetic pots/pans for it to work but my existing pots were a perfect match. My only complaint is the cooktop cleaner they give a sample size of. The stuff sucks!

I like the stove top so far, though it is a recent purchase and not cooking so much in the summer. I wonder about canning and what type of kettle to use, and I wish that you had recommendations for cookware on induction stove tops. I like to keep it shining, but it sometimes shows streaks, even though I use the cleaner.
